The New Jersey Working Families Alliance is seeking a detail-oriented, and multi-talented individual to fill the critical community and digital organizing role. The Community and Digital Organizer role includes organizing regional coalitions and civic action sessions, assisting with training for non-partisan voter engagement, recruiting new activists and volunteers to join New Jersey Wolf Packs and building leadership within the grassroots groups as well as supporting the work of the We the People NJ Civic Engagement Table. It will also include digital organizing and content creation. The ideal candidate will possess community organizing and digital skills.

The New Jersey Working Families Alliance is seeking a detail-oriented, and multi-talented individual to fill the critical community and digital organizing role. The Community and Digital Organizer role includes organizing regional coalitions and civic action sessions, assisting with training for non-partisan voter engagement, recruiting new activists and volunteers to join New Jersey Wolf Packs and building leadership within the grassroots groups as well as supporting the work of the We the People NJ Civic Engagement Table. It will also include digital organizing and content creation. The ideal candidate will possess community organizing and digital skills.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to build community power in New Jersey and help shape the future of progressive politics in New Jersey. This position will be supervised by the New Jersey Working Families Alliance Director of Democracy Organizing and includes opportunities for professional development in organizing, elections, legislative work, and communications.

The Wisconsin Regional/ Statewide Organizer will build our grassroots base and organizing operation in Milwaukee and in other areas of the state where we are trying to grow. They will work with both organizations and individuals to identify and develop leaders and volunteers that participate in electoral tactics (e.g., canvassing, phone calling, texting, our relational postcard program) as well as all year round to build the working families party including participating in candidate recruitment, endorsement processes, and other tactics.

The Organizer will build a program to recruit and support organizers across movement organizations, build our political education program, and strengthen partnerships with member organizations to build the WI WFP into a more serious electoral and political force.
\n
The position will also be responsible for recruiting to and holding our training programs - our Wolf Pack volunteer and grassroots organizing training program, and our grassroots candidate training. In addition to these responsibilities, the role will hold key get out the vote efforts for our local endorsed candidates, including hosting canvassing launches, building election day programs, and other related efforts.

This position provides leadership, working with their supervisor in developing and implementing campaigns, and organizing processes that build grassroots power. Demonstrates ability to conceive, design, execute creative initiatives to build the party.

This position is supervised by the Wisconsin State Director and includes local and national professional development opportunities in organizing, communications, electoral campaigns, issue campaigns, and fundraising.

\nCollaborate with other senior leadership to developing the state power building plan with the WFP organizing committee, elected leaders, and aligned partners

\nBuild and maintain relationships with endorsed and aligned candidates and campaigns, to implement the political and electoral strategy in the state power building plan

\nManage our Know Your Neighbor Canvassing Program
\n\n
\nIdentify key strategic opportunities and priority electoral races aligned with the state power building plan
\n\n
\nCandidate recruitment and vetting, including providing key leadership with state director and organizing committee of electoral endorsement process

\nRun events such as candidate trainings with and without partner organizations
\n\n
\nBuild a statewide container for WFP and aligned elected officials to connect across Wisconsin

\nWork with WFP-endorsed campaigns to assess campaign needs so that WI WFP can build digital and organizing plans that take advantage of our tools (e.g., dialer, peer-to-peer text, etc.) and offer services to best support their campaigns

\nCoordinate with WFP national staff to support endorsed candidates as necessary

\nSupport fundraising for coordinated campaigns and independent expenditures so that these initiatives can be successful

\nElectoral program development and management, including both independent expenditure and coordinated campaigns and maintaining a long term strategy to engage and build WFP membership

\nSupport the development of electoral tactics that rest on and build the strength of WFP’s membership, volunteers and leaders, working in consultation with staff across the organization

\nAlign our political strategy with major organizational partners and organizing around shared priorities

\nHelp ensure compliance with campaign finance rules and reporting to all relevant entities

\nAt least 4 years of electoral experience, including in-state specific experience, and at least 5 years in the workforce

\nExisting relationships with WI electoral organizations, candidates, and elected officials

\nDemonstrated ability to cultivate powerful relationships and build alliances
\n\n
\nExperience managing “hard” side campaigns coordinated with candidates, and “soft” side independent expenditure campaigns
\n\n
\nExperience with WI compliance laws for c3, c4, state PACs, and federal compliance laws of national PACs
\n\n
\nWorking knowledge of all aspects of electoral campaigning, including field, paid media, earned communications, fundraising, volunteer recruitment, and digital organizing

\nExperience with coalition-building - especially aligning plans across allies into one coherent whole
\n\n
\nHigh competency with numbers, and comfort using NGP-VAN, Catalyst, databases, spreadsheets, and learning new campaign software
