Position Summary:
The Sanitation Lead will assist in performing sanitation tasks across the facility and lead junior team members in their sanitation duties. As Sanitation Lead, you will lead a team of 5–6 Sanitation Specialists, drive pre-operational inspections, manage chemical titration and concentration verification, and serve as a subject matter expert for sanitation best practices across our commercial kitchen and food production floor. Prepare, dilute, and verify chemical concentrations using titration kits and test strips; document results per SSOP requirements. Chemicals include chlorinated alkaline cleaners, acid rinses, quaternary ammonium, and peracetic acid sanitizers.\n
Monitor and log chemical usage, ensure proper storage segregation, and maintain SDS compliance in accordance with OSHA Hazard Communication standards.\n
Operate high-pressure washdown equipment, foam cannons, and COP tanks safely and effectively.\n
Lead and participate in pre-operational (pre-op) inspections of equipment surfaces post-cleaning; document findings using ATP bioluminescence testing, visual inspection checklists, and environmental monitoring protocols.\n
Ensure all sanitation activities comply with FDA Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) Preventive Controls, HACCP principles, and site-specific SQF/GFSI food safety programs.\n

The Role

You'll own brand strategy, product marketing, content and social, and customer insights. You'll partner closely with a creative director on execution, lead our external agency relationships, and serve as an active member of the Marketing Leadership Team — reporting directly to the CMO.

\nDevelop and evolve the Tovala brand positioning and messaging hierarchy Ensure the brand is distinctive, and clearly differentiated and consistent across channels. Act as the driver of the brand, from tone of voice to the definition of our target consumer.

\nServe as brand steward and internal brand champion
\n\n
\nDrive consumer insights and translate findings into clear strategic choices.
\n\n
\nOwn product marketing, keeping it tightly connected to Tovala's overall brand value proposition.

\nDrive creative execution with internal teams across all channels, partnering with channel owners and the Creative team to ensure high quality briefs and creative output and communications that drive consideration and purchase.
