The Signals and Communications Foreman will work together with the Signals and Communications team and local client representatives to manage and direct an assigned crew of employees to deliver successful projects by exceeding corporate and client objectives while ensuring the safety of all employees. The Signals and Communications Foreman works with the assigned Signals and Communications Maintainers and Apprentices to organize and manage daily work and all other related activities to project including installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing railroad signaling and communications equipment as well as emergencies and track outages.

We are currently recruiting a highly qualified, experienced candidate for the position of Tank Car Repairman. This position would be responsible for general repairs to tank cars, tank car service equipment, welding tank cars, jackets, and attachments.

General Scope: To Provide technical services to customers of our company.

\n- Must possess the necessary experience to operate, service, troubleshoot and repair track maintenance equipment.
\n- Must be capable of instructing railroad personnel in the operation and maintenance of track maintenance equipment.
\n- Must be able to read and understand hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical schematics.
\n- Must have a working knowledge of fluid power, basic computer skills, basic electricity, and a solid background in mechanics.
\n- Potentially requires extensive domestic travel, and the possibility of travel abroad.

\nSupervisory Responsibilities:
\nDoes not have direct supervision of any employee, however, will be required to supervise customer's employees in the form of instruction. Must be self-motivated and perform assigned task with limited or no supervision.

Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
\n
\nKnowledge: Incumbent must have proficient knowledge in the following areas:
\n\n- Knowledge of hydraulic systems
\n- Knowledge of electrical systems
\n- Knowledge of pneumatic systems
\n- Knowledge of computer control systems and associated software
\n\n
\nSkills: Incumbent must demonstrate or participate in internal/external training programs to obtain the following skills:
\n\n\n\n\n\n- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
