As a Lead Advanced Practice Clinician, you’ll join a dedicated and skilled team at one of our Health Centers where you will provide high-quality sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services, including sexual and reproductive health care, contraception, STI care, gender-affirming hormone therapy, abortion care, and more.

PPLM is seeking a Technical Supervisor to provide technical oversight and support daily operations of our CLIA‑certified clinical laboratory. This role ensures compliance with federal CLIA regulations and Massachusetts Department of Public Health requirements (105 CMR 180) while supporting high‑quality, patient‑centered laboratory services.

Under the direction of the Laboratory Director, the Technical Supervisor oversees microbiology testing, quality systems, method validation, proficiency testing, personnel competency, and regulatory compliance. This role also performs laboratory testing as needed (approximately 50% of time).

Education & Experience (one required):

Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science + 3 years microbiology experience, or\n

Doctoral degree in physical, chemical, or biological science + 2 years microbiology experience.\n\n
Additional Requirements:

Strong knowledge of CLIA (42 CFR 493).\n
Familiarity with Massachusetts Clinical Laboratory regulations.\n
Experience with method validation, quality systems, and regulatory compliance.\n
Strong leadership, documentation, and communication skills.\n
